And where pray tell, will you get a Kirkham-bodied Cobra for 60k? Dealer price on one of these is $115 to $120k.

While I appreciate the allure of the "perfect" aluminum-bodied Cobra, I'm much more excited by something I can get right now in the mid-20s and have on track by next year. Heck, there's even a spec series designed around it. That's much more appealing than any museum piece, IMHO.
