Can the X-plan come close to this for a 5.4L F150?
and if you buy a silverado you are stuck with HIDEOUS styling(ugliest full size truck made)and an interior that looks like it was designed in 1983...worst full size truck built today imho
The chevys are great trucks. They're the worst out of the chevy-ford-nissan trio I would consider buying, but I really think that out of those three you get what you pay for. For the prices they are going for now (Roughly 16-20 chevy, 18-25 ford, 22-27 nissan) the base-level trucks are probably equally good buys.

Cheapest F150 Work truck w/ 5.4L is $24k sticker, X-plan would be about $2500 less, and another $3k in rebates.
I can get you a stripped Ram 1500 w/ Hemi w/ Friends&Family price for about $17k if you trade something in.

Now it all makes sense... http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2005-06-17-ford_x.htm I was going to take you up on this offer too, Mom's selling her SHO and wants a small SUV.. Was trying to talk her into a Mariner or Escape, but she's likes the Santa Fe and Lexus RX300. We'll see..
