i put one "bolt" style LED on the back of each front seat. one on each seat, on the outside plastic piece that covers the hindge mechanism. the point strait back. i wired them into the front lights under the dash that come on when the doors open. i think pre98 might have taken pics of them at SZ

One thing my '87 Tempo had that I wish was on the Contour..when you pulled the handle with the doors locked, not only did the entire interior light system light up, but the keyhole light did as well, very handy.

I seem to remember my 95LX tour having an illuminated ring around the driver's keyhole. it also illuminated the interior footwell with a locked door-pull.

my old 95 gs mystique had the lighted keyhole, and also turned on all interior lights when you pulled the handle.
I never really worried about not having lights in the back of the SVT. But now that I party alot there's always some girl in the backseat wondering if I have a light back there. I'm starting to feel bad about simply saying no. Those led's are cool but i'd rather have something the people in the back could control.
If I were to use the mystique rear dome light, isn't there a bracket that goes with it to hold it up there?? And is there a how to on that?

TGO ask contourkev about it he has done it, I haven't had my light apart so I couldn't tell you. That rear dome light is nice too. And yes it does have an on/off switch so people can control it back there.

Yeah I just want a couple simple stick-on LED lights that look good, run on batteries, and can be controlled independently.

How did you do that? I have no light in my trunk and would love to get one put back there that would come on when I open it and go off when closed.

My '95 LX has the "Lighted Entry" package as well. It's pretty slick. Also: do all you guys have the lights in the door handles? I swapped mine with blue LEDS when I did the switches. I put brighter ones in the handles, and it gives a little light back there. It looks great too, very luxo. Most people think it's stock.
