I had my 98 contour for about a year now. I getting sick and tried of everyone making fun of me because I'm tunning a contour, they just dont understand. So anyway I wanted to use force induction such as a supercharger because i can bolt it right on. I was at HIN over the weekend and I saw a coger with a vortech supercharger. It had a 2.5 svt, but io cant find a supercharger for my car, and custom work cost to much. please help me.

Have you tried calling Vortech? I'm not even sure that the Contour/Cougar kit is even available any more because it was so unreliable. Granted, there are ways to fix it right, but it becomes more than a cheap bolt on at that point.

Use the search feature here in the FI section and you will find a tremendous amount of information. Then call Vortech if you still want one. Personally I'd choose the ADC Turbo kit (formerly from StreetFlight) if I was going to buy a package deal.

Yea I would much rather have a turbo setup over a supercharger, but all 2.5 turbo engine were done at customs shop and I dont have the money for that. Beside that have this crazy thing that I like single turbo V engines. So if i were to kit a turbo it would have to be a twin turbo kit. But i dout they make those for the 2.5 duratec. A supercharger was better for me because I figured I get headers, high flow Y pipe, catback, PCM piggy back, and the supercharger. And later down line get some SVT cams or something.

Forget what i just type im going for the turbo kit. Its expensive but me and the contour deserve it. After I saw those turbos i couldnt say no. Thanks a lot percybigun
