If you're like me, anytime you walk by a Contour/Mystique in the parking lot you stop and take a quick look. If it's an especially sweet one, you take a GOOD look (My girlfriend just LOVES it when I do this ). Alot of times though, I've wanted to let these people know about our group. You never know the kind of people that own these cars! You might think they're just granny drivers, but I've been surprised around Erie by some owners, who put alot of work into them and have some well-kept Contiques. I've even seen a couple of SVT's in my little city! Anyways, to my point I was thinking about making up a sort of "flyer". It will be a MS Word document, something you could print out and stick under someone's wipers to let them know about the CEG, with the CEG logo on it. The main things I'm concerned about are: 1. Getting permission, since the CEG logo is most likely copyrighted material. 2. The increase in membership would also mean the site might lag, though I'm not sure if that will be the case. I work at an ISP and I've known of hosted sites larger than this with no problems. Also, if Lance pays for the bandwidth amount per month, I don't want to make it harder on him. Critique/Commments? It's just an idea, but if the Admins don't think it's a good one, then that's that Also, feel free everyone to give me your opinions as well!

Years ago you could go on VistaPrint and print up some business cards that said what you are saying. Brinn Riley still has a few. It basically said "Nice Car, CEG, blah blah blah..."

I try to actually run them off the road. I have a large ring with the CEG logo on it, that i punch them in the forehead with, permantly leaving an impression of the CEG.

Someone made a Contour.org flyer. I stioll have some left that I leave on Contours (that seem liek they may be into mods etc). I can't remember where I got it, but I think someone from the SVT/SHO club mafe it. Maybe they could chime in and give you the link. It's a well designed flyer.

I printed up business cards on some business card stock from an office supply store that I used to put on cars. Stopped doing it because the email address on them went away and I didn't have the word file anymore.
They had graphics from the "black site" on em, so I must have printed them around late 98.

I know that everytime I see an SVT, or a contique of anykind (for that matter), I stop and admire it for what it is, and what has been done to personalize it to that driver's taste. I often times would leave a spur-of-the-moment note on the back of a used business card stating that I liked the car and telling about CEG. Many times I have found a similar note on my window afterwards saying "thank you".
A default flyer would help alot.. and I would be interested in this.. Ray

Someone needs to come up with a VERY good, catchy line, for such a flier or business card...
97 Zetec MTX Sport Esslinger UDP; Nology HotWires and BERU Silverstones; Sylvania Silverstars (high beam in low beam) Dual Fiamm air horns Mk1 Mondeo Clear corners(and yes I made them fit....) Boston FS80's in the front
Micah's PRE98 SVT front bumper, W/ Mirko splitter(yet to be painted)
Rally drivers do it sideways......

A flyer *might* scare some people. It could seem like a scam. It seems like everything is a scam these days, so people are very wary of anything that looks mass produced. I think if someone left a personalized note on a napkin I would be more interested than if it were a pre-made flyer. It would make me think that someone genuinely liked my car enough to take the time to leave a note. I personally like the idea, but this was just something I thought of.
