After searching and researching on the life of the factory ATX (with v6), I have come to the conclusion that the tranny will be on its way out in about the next 20-30K miles
. My car is about to roll over 78K. That is of course assuming that my car is like everyone elses, and im sure it is. i dont beat the car hardly at all. Every now and then, I will get on the gas hard from a dead stop, but that is only once in a GREAT while. When i am in town, i drive around with the tranny in drive to prevent any shifting that is not needed. I change the fluid regularly, and basically do my best to make it last as long as i can. Any ideas on whether or not i may get lucky and my tranny last a little longer? Does anyone know how much it costs (roughly) to have it rebuilt? Thanks a lot guys.
