Ive heard that it is bad to swich from conventional motor oil to synthetic, so its a good thing i did mine a long time ago. I was just wondering if there comes a point where the same would hold true for ATF. I have about 245,000k on my 99 V6 SE, with the original engine and tranny, the engines been on Mobile 1 for close to 200k.
I've heard that having a syn ATF will actually help reduce the temp of the tranny by as much as 20 C, and since heat is a killer of trannys i figured its worth the extra money, if its not too late that is.
Any help would be appreciated,
