I put a camber kit on my 99 csvt and was wandering if i could still put a strut tower brace on it as well.


#510 of 2760, KKM true rev induction, optimized y pipe, exhaust,custom tuned Diablo chip, and BAT lowering springs, DMD, optimized throttle body.

I don't know why not. The brace attaches to the tower, not the top of the strut does in not? You don't want a brace that attaches to the strut stem, it can break the strut during spirited driving.

I've been thinking bout getting a pair of the braces that the Jag X-Types have on the strut towers. They connect the tower to the fender/sub-structure. Fairly simple, quite functional, but not as aesthetically cool as a strut bar...


Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I'm not certain you can.

The diameter of the camber kit might exceed the opening of the stb.

Have someone measure the diameter ofteh camber kit and opening of the stb to be certain before you order anything.

Taken from here

1. Remove your OMP Front Strut Tower Bar from your strut towers and remove the 2 end plates.

2. Bring the 2 end plates to a machine shop and tell them to bore out the holes to a diameter of 82mm.

3. Reassemble OMP bar and bring it to a Powder Blaster to strip the bar, then bring it to a Powder Coat Painter to repaint the bar to whatever color you want.

4. Reinstall the OMP bar back onto the strut towers.

I have a freedom design strut brace up front and it's a [censored] to adjust the camber plates because it comes so close to hitting the bar. I'll probably remove the bar eventually and cut out some of the metal to make it fit better.
