I voted for you to throw the extra grand in for the oval port 3L and drive t the rest of the way through school. I dont think taking a $10,000 loan to turbo it is the greatest idea. Lets say you get that $10,000 into it and the next day some A-hole totals it for ya. You'll have nothing left but a much larger student loan!
I say get her running right an keep/sell it, but in the end, if its not nickle and diming you, it might be wise to keep it and get the most of your money from it. Once you can afford the turbo kit in cash then id go turbo, but dont take a loan out on something you cant get ins to cover if you get totalled.
