Ohh thats the old farts not used to the new technology. All pervious balckberries has a full keyboard. This one has 3 letters to each key but it has smart text and it works awesome. I have rarely had to go back and edit a word because it could not figure it out. That what they are talking about with the keyboard.

Ok thats good. I was thinking of getting one of the ones with the full keyboard, but decided not cuz i think i would look really stupid talking into a huge square.

Sprint has a deal where you get it for $120 after rebates. I just went to a sprint retailer and told them about the deal. they matched the price and offered me some free accessories.

Actually the best place to get a phone believe it or not is amazon.com You can get almost any phone there for $100 or less after rebates. Most are free after rebates.

I have a 7520 from Nextel, and love it. I've installed the IM client, so I am can be reached via any of the IM systems whereever I'm at. I also love the email integration, and attachment viewer. (I have about $300 in extra apps for the phone.)

As an FYI, when I first got it, I did NOT like the default setup (most people don't). Its totally configuable, however, so now its s snap to use. FUNC-M goes to my email messages, FUNC-B to my graphical browser, FUNC-I to IM, and SPACE to recent calls list. Another nice feature is the in-holster vs out-holster rings, so when its on yer hip you can set it to vibrate only, etc. And the Bluetooth owns with a wireless earpiece!

7290 or 7100?

I'm leaning towards the 7290 because of the full size keyboard. (Better for AIM or MSN, I'd reckon).

Anyone know where to get it unlocked so it can be used with any carrier?

I have a 7780 and I hate it with a passion. Usability sucks so bad I cannot beleive they released a phone like this. The newer 7100 series fixes all my complaints though, I just wish my boss would switch this peice of [censored] out for me.
