All knowing one...... Why do most hot dogs come in packs of 10 when most hot dog buns come in packs of 8?

I knew this one was coming. There have been many scientific studies and machines modeled after the human tounge have actually been built to try to answer this. I however believe one should never send a machine to do a mans work.
