This may be a long shot but does anyone make one that folds down instead of up...
And if so is there enough room to clear the shifter, now that I think about it I am not sure there would be

As far as I know they dont have any. Only the ones that are roof mounted fold down.
Also i'd stay away from jensen. This kid around here just got one in his car and I wasnt impressed with the quality and picture as mine. But if you want to save some $$ I guess thats your best bet?

I have the VRX935 as well, and I just leave it down. The monitor is only for carshows.
I know that if i have an in-dash monitor i know i'd use it so i'd have the joys of the hvac haha.
edit: since it's summer though, who cares, my hvac is aka a window switch, simple to operate and always works.
