They were road racing(with slicks), so im sure they were REAL rough on there trannies(prob shifting at 8k or so). a whole lot more abusive then anyone on the street. You are prob. right they might not be as strong as i want to believe, but The fact is i dont read very many posts if any about stripping gears. even the big dogs such as your self are hammering pretty good at the strip, and i dont here anyone crying about weak gears.
Plus(now im on a roll) Even the guys running stage 3(blah,blah,blah) axles are breaking them before they have tranny problems. I know i have broken a clutch and axle on stock hp. just shifting hard into second. So there are alot more weak links that are gonna break before tranny gears.
