The Mumm brothers has problems stripping the tranny gears and they were making about 300-320 crank HP from a NA engine.
This was with custom axles, hubs, LSD, solid mounts, and racing slicks.
The tranny was not engineered to take any type of abuse or any real increase in power. For that matter it doesn't even hold up to stock power levels. (bad diff, bad syncros, poor lubrication, etc)
