Using a rough estimate by memory.

Dropping 10 lbs equates to roughly 15 HP in 1st, 8 in 2nd, 3 in 3rd, and 1 in 4th.

In other words you won't be able to tell a significant difference on a dyno.
Maybe a little trap speed in the 1/8th that also carries to the 1/4 mile.

It will make the car require a higher rpm clutch slip to generate the same launch so unless you nail a launch the power difference in 1st will be hard to see as well.


For instance think about it this way.

1st = 2 seconds
2nd = 4 seconds
3rd = 8 seconds
4th = 1 second


There is your typical 15 second 1/4 mile run. The bulk of which is done in 3rd alone.
