OK, dug through a lot of post, but have not found anything. whining noise coming through the speakers, going up and down with the RPMs.

My hunch is a bad ground somewhere. Am I right? Battery has been relocated and have an aftermarket system. Anyone have a solution?

Had the same prob with mine and had to move the ground wire in the back of the radio to a diffrent place. Also if you have a amp your ground needs to be bigger. A good ground place is to the fram or a bolt. let me know if this works

Make sure that your ground is not touching anything else like carpet....if you ground in the trunk. Also, that there is nothing on top of it. I had my whole box slide over and smash up against my ground and caused the same thing. When I pulled the box away the whine stopped.

Thanks guys. I thought the ground wire in the back of the stereo was within the wiring harness for the stereo? I'll check there anyways. I will have to recheck the ground I have mounted in the back to make sure it is ground correctly. I know it isn't being touched by anything, because it is between the fender and the battery box and the box is securely mounted. Might need to clean off that area so it has a clean ground to bare metal.

uhhh carpet will not hurt anything with your ground ... it wont make one difference im 100% sure one that one do you have a sub ?? if so you have to run your power going to the amp on the opposite side of your rca's this will cause you to hear that noise.

the whine is from a power wire being routed close enough to a speaker wire for the speaker wire to pick up the electrical noise.

you install any audio lately?

Hmmm... Will have to check that as well. The power wire for the battery transfer is on the passenger side, and I think I hear it only on the passenger side. Will have to check to make sure. If so, I think I can put some noise filters on that side to take care of the issue.

Wait a sec. After re-reading my post, I think I meant to say any "sound" carrying wire. Like RCA wires and stuff like that. Im getting it (the buzz) in my Omnifi, cause I screwed up that wire running (power and signal wires too close). HTH.

I got a whine from the RCAs being too close to one another.
