Believe it on not, this is from our mutual aquaintance, Dan. Turned out to be pretty good advice....go figure. Anyway, hope this helps. I had to size and adjust the hood in the CF with a dremel but it worked out great. Remember to get the angle of the hole in the hood right. Drill the holes at a right angle so the various layers will line up with the pins when you close the hood. Also make sure you drill the holes in the header straight in.

Yes they are sparco hood pins. I wouldnt recommend anything else. Ive seen the big round with a single pin and spring lock but to me looks too big and ugly. I was scared of doing them myself as well but if you have the confidence of doing something right then DO IT! First, you place those tiny poles where they should be. You will see where they should be on where the metal bar surface. SEE PHOTO BELOW! You will need to do some measurings to get it right and even. Once that is done the drilling on the hood is tricky. You will need 2 to 3 different drill size. You cant just drill the BIG hole first. You will take forever doing that. Start with 1/4 size drill then use the 3/8 drill. Keep in mind that where youll be drilling has 3 sheets of metal! so drill slow and straight! To find the location of where the holes will be on the hood is what I did was place two small pieces of play-doh (clay) just about where the pins normall hits under the hood. lower your hood so the pins hits the play doh and lift your hood and youll see where the pins hit the clay. Thats where youll be drilling the hole from underneathe the hood from NOT ABOVE. Once the pins goes through the hood it is up to you how you want to place and drill the hood pins locks. Some people like it sideways like mine or up/downward. GOOD LUCK!
