not where I live! its great here - the fastest you can get in the area.
so with a product like the linksys you can just hook it up to a cable line and use the net? My father is hooked up through comcast but pays for it in a package with his cable. Do I need to pay for their service or can I just hook it directly inline at the cable outlet? ( i have comcast cable but pay for a wireless slow ass connection)
I have Crapcast, Yeah, its nice when it works... But when it doesnt, its a pain in the ass. We call and complain to Comcast, they dont do [censored] "Oh, restart your modem... " "Lady, i know this, im a computer technican at Best Buy! Stop reading your monitor"
And it isn't just me, SEVERAL customers come to us to complain about Comcast "My internet doesn't work" I have to tell them to call Comcast. I'm lucky I live in a hotspot of ISP's, not many WAPs have WEP Protection, so when Comcast fails, I use my neighbor's SBC Yahoo! DSL. We're debating on ditching Crapcast, get DirecTV, SBC Yahoo! DSL, and no more crapcast!
So I know my Internet failing constantly is common between other users, and when my Comcast fails, a neighbor's is generally failed too. This is our 6th Cable modem from Comcast BTW. Also this is our 3rd router. Even when the failures, I plug it straight to a PC, and it's failed. Also DHCP Release/renew fails horribly. So out of personal experience, and many customer complaints. I strongly recommend to find a DSL Line instead of Comcast.
