Real CF would be impossible to sell effectively as gauges, not only for the materials, but the contracting out to do all of the small detail cut out work to make them backlit. The Tapeworks stuff looks real enough by itself, but when I add the clear to the front of the gauge to add the numeric color it adds an element of depth to further add to the illusion of real CF... SVT gauges? I need a set to scan first!!! bnmotorsports@aol.com if you'd like to be the first SVT with 'em installed!

Hey Brad,

Can you bring those ones to Spring Zing? I want to see them up close. I didn't know those weren't real Carbon.

Brad, how long would you need the gauge faces? I don't drive for days at a time so I could easily do without for awhile. I don't have new gauge faces on the upgrade list, but it's for the greater good. Or, depending on how high the resolution needs to be, I can scan them here and email you the tifs.

Are you kidding? Heck ya! I'm installing them this morning so I should have pics later today... I haven't been so excited about any one of my 20 or so personal sets of gauges I've installed save for the aluminum look ones that didn't pan out These should do much better...

Brad: give me a holler whenever you want to get together. My archery season is now over so I have some more free time. Just let me know- 975-4080 cell. Also, we can use my guages to Scan for SVT guys- personally I'd like the blue/black carbon fiber. Just let me know when and where.

PS- Using my car as a guinea pig will only cost ya one set of gauages and an HVAC panel!

Thanks Rick for coming over last night to scan in the SVT speedo. I'm sure some will sell to the SVT crowd as soon as they see some out there. These are going to be cool

Brad, no problem letting you scan the guages. Just remember the exchange I quoted you in my first post! Also, I noticed after we peeled the speedo off, it seems I have a few red spots showing through the face of the gauge when it was reapplied. Do you think a little tape on the back side would fix these?

Thanks,
Rick

Buckshot77,

I just noticed that in your signature, you have your mod list. In this list, you have:
Fog w/ Head lights

What is this mod? You are normally able to turn the foglights on with the headlights. Maybe you meant to say that you make it come on with the parking lights!
