hey brad... i'm curious how these go on... Do I just peal off the old face, and add a new one? How do I line it up? Does it work that the CF vinyl doesn't let light through, the gold numbers and the white lines do so lining it up doesn't matter?
Also what about KM/H guages? do you make them?

I just noticed that in your signature, you have your mod list. In this list, you have: Fog w/ Head lights
What is this mod? You are normally able to turn the foglights on with the headlights. Maybe you meant to say that you make it come on with the parking lights!
Check the main page of contour.org and you can find the instructions on how to rewire the fog lights to be able to come on with the parking lights instead of only being able to go on with the headlights. It is a really easy and free mod to do which most people have done. The instructions are perfect. Rick

Also what about KM/H guages? do you make them? The CF is vinyl sheet that is cut into the shape of the gauges, and also the numerics are cut out. The middle parts of the 0's and such are pretty hard to keep in place, but I can get it done with a steady hand. I apply this layer to a 1/32" lexan sheet. Then, I apply a clear vinyl front with the numerics printed on them and carefully line then up with the cut lines on the CF vinyl to keep the gauges back lit. Then I can apply a translucent vinyl color to the back for the "glow" color whe the lights are turned on. One false move and I need another print of each layer which = $$$ on this type of set. I can make KPH only gauges as long as they're the same 130 speedo but reversed to make the KPH the bigger, around the outside set of numerics on the speedo. This does cost extra as I've had only a few requests to have this done and don't plan to offer it as a base set because out of country export is a biaaaaatch. I think it costs an extra $80 or so to send insured to Mexico, don't know about Canada or across the pond. I have no other KPH only speedos scanned and don't plan. People should be able to find a local print shop out of country that should be able to beat my prices by avoiding the import charges. ------------------ Brad Noon '99 SE MTX, finally supercharged!!!! http://www.bnmotorsports.com

Do you think a little tape on the back side would fix these?
Thanks, Rick
I think the new set of gauges will fix it for sure , but we should be able to fix up your orriginal set until then. I'll have to look a little closer to see where the spots are before I can say what will fix it. ------------------ Brad Noon '99 SE MTX, finally supercharged!!!! http://www.bnmotorsports.com

Bnoon....I have a question for you. Do you think that you could make those for me? I have the Zetec and I don't have the tach. I just wondered how tough it would be to make them for those of us that don't have the tach. ------------------ '99 SE Zetec ATX Medium Steel Blue. Hey Brad... quick question. Is it at all possible to make an HVAC panel for Mystiques? I have a '98, and its nothing like the 'tours... Was wondering if you have them made or not.

I bought a '99 Contour SVT this weekend and I am interested in your carbon fiber guage faces. I think that blue glow would make for cool numerals. Please email me at stevekhoe@yahoo.com when you re-open or when more information about the guages becomes available. Thanks. One question: What is the HVAC panel and what is the modification that has been mentioned in several posts?
