For the price of an SVT, he could get a donor MTX and swap in a 3L...

Wish I had an SVT too, but with good tuning I should easily beat a stock one with my turbo. SVTs are very nice but too much $$$ and they have the cable shifter setup and that would need to be fixed on top of the price of the car. Just too much money for what you get IMO.

Not really. Soooo many extras on an SVT that make it an SVT. Even a turbo won't fix that.

Well sure there are tons of extras on a SVT but I don't think those extras warrant the svt being triple the cost of a plain tour. Because it seems like the svts are asking $10,000 where you can get a regualr one for about $3,000.

You are looking at the wrong SVT's for sale.

There are PLENTY for sale around 4500 or 5000 with average to minimal miles and in stock AND modified form (a few with new engines and/or tranny work.

You need to look around more man, there are plenty of SVTs for under 7000. Look in these classifieds, autotrader, anything. I just got my 99 for 5000 and i was only looking for about a week. It is easy to find them, just look. Go for the SVT.
Good Luck bro

Yeah, just buy an SVT. I'm pretty sure if you offered many of us SVT owners a decent price ($9000 for me ).. we'd accept.
