I would definitely be interested in a saleen kit(even a knockoff). I can't seen to find any ground kits elsewhere and I will be the last person on this forum "trying to look like an SVT"(no flame intended, out of respect for SVT owners!). If someone could produce this kit they would be a legend to this forum. Question: How many SVT owners would purchase this kit(out of curiousity)?

I am interested on the Saleen body kit but I want to know if I can only get the front and rear bumper. How much would it cost? By the way, you ship internationally? Hope to hear from you soon.

The Mondeo front bumper body kit looks so aggresive and nice. With the 2 additional fog lights it'll be awesome. Hope The-Ghost can get approval of people over there in Europe to make those kits for our SVT's. Wonder if the headlamps will be available to us. Lets hope for the best. Regarding the vote, I'll definitly vote for the Mondeo body kit. If it's not available then I'll go for the Saleen body kit.

I meant the Mondeo #2 body kit. The one that comes in Blue Metallic. Nice Headlamps and body kit. LETS VOTE FOR THE MONDEO #2 BODY KIT!

i did not bite off more then i can chew. no one gives a commitment on this board. everyone wants a "custom" kit. no one can decide on a kit to be made. so until there is some direction in this project, i am going to put it on the back burner... i am working on about 5 other things right now and really don't have time to push you guys to make a decision. i put up a voting board, only a few people have submitted pictures/kits to be voted on. yet it seems everyone has a kit they want made. i am thinking about just making the saleen kit, as soon as i can get 20 people willing to shell out 50%. if that goes well, then i will work on the mondeo kit.

Well if that doesn't say HOVER MY HEAD, i don't know what does. No big deal, ask for help if you need some. If you go with the mondeo kit i've got $400 for you right now.

You should make sure you can get the kit for the $800. Set up a time frame, how long to make and recieve and start collecting. Pretty simple!

hyperactive: i am not in over my head. i haven't even gotten 20 "maybes" from this board. everyone says "i will get the kit if you do this..." by the time i take everyone's input into consideration i will have some hacked up piece of crap that no one would want on their car anyway. if you think you can do a better job of orgazning this group, go for it. find me 20 people that want the kit (as close to the saleen version as economicly possible) and i will have it made. also, if you check the vote page, only 34 people have voted for the saleen kit... and i would say only about 10% of those are actually going to buy it... leaving me with about 3 people who will actually shell out the cash when it comes time. as far as time frame, i have already said this numerous times... 12-16 weeks once i have everyone's down payment. figure another 1-2 weeks if you need your kit painted. like i said before, i am willing to do the saleen kit right now... and if all goes well, i will have other kits made. what else do you need to know?

It is unfortunate that more of us can't agree. I've seen several of these attempts fizzle because no-one can gain enough support for one design.

Maybe if we showed enough interest, someone will be willing to build it. But, a lot of us want to see more availability and choice out there before we commit. Kind of a paradox.

Personally, I think the Saleen kit is, well, ugly. I also don't want my car to look like an SVT (since it isn't). I voted for the Mondeo #2, even though the voting page was confusing. (The Mondeo #2 kit pictures showed pieces from both the Millenium kit and the RS kit. I like the RS kit because it blends the best with the existing design of the "earlies"). The other Mondeo kit, which was featured in Performance Ford Mag, is also good looking, and I would guess it has the best potential sales volume, especially if it is made for 95's on up.

As for various inputs to "tweaks" on the Saleen design, well, you asked for it. Now, if you want to build it, you just have to decide how or whether to incorporate the input you have asked for and received. Will it sell? Maybe, maybe not. Kind of tough to ask a guy to promise to buy something he's never seen (except in photoshop).

Thanks again for even considering this headache. I know the position you're in. But somebody is just going to have to take some risk here, or nobody will ever have anything. (I'm not saying it has to be you. That's up to you.)

As for me, I've already given up. No one is going to come out and build what I'm envisioning for a 96 Contour. The market just isn't there.
