I actually had a very bad experience with these tires. After 6,000 miles, if that, they started to crack, right around the siping. I called the guy I bought them from (I was down at school when I noticed it) and he knew what I was talking about right away. He told me he sold the tires for years and they were great low budget tires, but in the past year they were having major problems with them cracking. So, to make a long story short, for $100 I got 4 brand new toyo proxes ZF 4's, which ride MUCH better, get BETTER tread wear, and MUCH better gas mileage. I was getting 26.5 mpg highway with the Ziex, and I immediately jumped to 32 mpg with the toyos. This difference was not because of a difference in tire size either.
I'm not trying to say they are horrible tires, but I did have a bad experience with them, and I know for a fact that Ziex had a lot of trouble with the 512's at one point. Now, maybe it was just one batch or something, I don't know. And also, this was 2 years ago, so chances are they've fixed the problem by now. On the other hand, now that I have the toyos, I'll never switch back, they are worth the extra money
