anyone care to comment (good, bad or indifferent) re these tires on our cars?
i will be needing replacement tires for my original equipment eagle +4's this summer. but a big weekend sale at sears may push me to replace sooner.

I have heard nothing but excellent reviews about their grip and tread wear.
Also they are about 2-4lbs lighter PER TIRE then most comparable brands. That means faster acceleration and better handling.

thanks, demon.
thinking also about maybe stepping up to a larger size on the stock rims. currently running 205-60 15, what would the possibility be of 215-60 15?

I would go to 215/55R16 if you want a wider tire. if you stay with a 60series it'll increase the rolling diameter.

True. And I also have nothing but good things to say about these tires! I had 2 sets of them on my E1 wheels, and they were awesome!

thanks all!
while i might like to "step up" to 55 16's, at this time i have no plans to move up in wheel size (stock 'stique ls wheel size = 15's).
sounds like the right tires, now to decide the size.....
thanks again......lakeside
by the way, for those interested, the sears sale is thru this saturday. if you use your sears card (or get one!) the price out the door on these is $38.69 ea, plus tax. for those of you with suv's, they also have bridgestone duelers marked way down.

Not to be offensive (stop laughing everyone! ) but Most of Goodyear's tires are POS hockey pucks. The Eagles are on that list.
The wife's Z24 has them on it (Z rated Eagles) the the ONLY good point is insane treadwear. (70k and they are still fine)
Handling, traction, & steering feel all rank below average.
I have not driven a car with a Goodyear tires that I thought was good EVER. I will state most were upper midrange tires or lower but that still leaves a VERY bad impression.

I originally bought the 215/45-17 for my FSVT wheels after I was disgusted with some nitto NT450's. I loved them from that point on. I moved on to a 235/45-17 for my FSVT wheels now so I would get a little more tire height. THey fit on my car without any fender rolling issues AND combined with the BAT kit they have restored enough ground clearance that I don't have trouble getting in and out of most sloped driveways.
They feel about like the stock BFG KDW's to me insofar as tire grip and performance but they cost a lot less.
