Pay for a lawyer that is what I am doing. It is worth it to pay a little now rather than a lot over what the next 3 years? I was getting on the ec row expressway and as I was merging onto the express way I was doing 180 and there was an undercover sitting at the top of the hill, I didn't have my wallet on me either, my car was towed and I got a court summons for july 25th. Didn't think that on that little up hill ramp I could hit 180 from a stand still but I guess radar proves it.... and yes he showed me the gun 180 dead on... he was pissed, At least I don't have to wonder what a ride in the patty wagon is like any more

Okay...which hill on EC Row? I know I can usually pick up a bit of speed throughout it. I have seen undercover cars at the grassy median around Walker/Central just hiding IN the median
A friend of mine on the train also got the same type of ticket. He admitted to the offence at the JoP. JoP knocked it down one point and a few bucks off the fine. It might be worth a shot just being honest and seeing where that goes...

Howard Ave getting on westbound the black Merauder was sitting at the dougall exit (Attached to the howard on ramp). I got a lawyer right away so we will see the outcome.

hmm, the officer can say what speed the car was travelling before he dropped the speed? How would he prove it? I still think going to court and trying to get it reduced is a good idea.

The sad part of it is, he does not NEED to prove it. He will have his little notebook there and he will just read from the notes and the judge will buy what he says. The system is DEFINATLY stacked against the little guy... E

Actually - I picked one up on teh 401 a couple of months ago - if he gave you a ticket for 80 in a 70 zone, you're laughing b/c there are no demerit points attached to it. Regardless of if he gave you a break or not - if you goto court they will use the speed on the ticket, they cannot charge you with a higher offence once you get there.
g/l - i know a couple of good traffic guys in TO if you need them
