if you have too much coolant in your tank, it can push out the overflow hose and onto the ground once the system forces the excess coolant into the tank. how low does your tank get when your light comes on? have you let it sit once the light comes on(turn engine off) and wait 10-15 min and see how much coolant finally sets in the tank?

I was thinking that samething but I made sure that I didn't put too much in, also when the low coolant light comes on, the tank is down past the minimum line.

getting any strange gurgling noises from the car? If so, could be a stuck thermostat.

Otherwise, sounds like a pressure leak. When the car warms to full operating temp, is that when you get the leaks? Might be a crack in the cooland resevoir, or even a pin-hole coolant hose leak.

Next time you get the car fully warmed up, shut it off & pop the hood. As the car sits for the first several minutes, the coolant temp will rise a bit more & pressure will build a little higher before the cooling off phase begins. That's when you'll find the leak.

No strange gurgling noises, I have changed my thermostat about a year ago. It doesn't seem to leak until after the car has warmed up completly, then I park and shut it off. Then while cooling down it must be leaking. I now have noticed the car setting off the low coolant light in the morning before work then shuts off about 5 minutes later.

Thanks for your responses.
