No.. it won't work correctly, the MTX SVC is not a free air sub. Infinty's 10.1 Refrence sub (less than 200 watts) is the only new sub that I know of that has infinite baffle capabilitys (free air). Crutchfield has it on sale for 179.00. I've been tempted to pick one up and mount it in said location.
Actually, IIRC, it's got a highish Q and moderate xmax. It won't set the world on fire as an IB sub, but it should work acceptably. THere are better options available, though. Most car audio subs will work very well in an IB.
