i asked because the ONLY application where rear speakers in a non-sub application will help is in an actual 5.1 system where a processor is used. otherwise, rear speakers, regardless of placement and design, will only pull your soundstage behind you.

any fill that you want from the rear will come via reflected sound from the fronts.

this knowledge is almost elementary in the field. i would have assumed that you, being MECP certified, would have known this.
