The fact of the matter is this:

You COULD walk away cheaper doing it yourself, if you put a BARE, stock replacement in. however, you WOULD be looking at this same problem (synchros, I mean...)in the next 50 (75? more?) thousand miles. Terry's install can use revised bearings, new synchros, and updated parts on ALL 5 GEARS (smooth as buttah, no problems, no mo'...) That and an LSD so you don't blow the whole thing like this time..

You'll just have to bite the bullet and pay for this one, or decide if this car is worth it to fix (for you)
