the reception is pretty un-distinguishable from the stock antenna....i dont know if i just live well in the city or not, havent tried it on a road test....i was thinking though if the quality deteriorates much i'll buy one of those "invisible" winshield antennas run it under the head-liner around the top of the car and splice it in to the main run....i'd probably get shortwave then

now i just have to figure out what to do with the other antenna....

I like it! I've always liked that antenna. Has anyone thought about putting it at the back of the roof like the VW's?? Looks pretty cool back there too and you would have less wind noise.

Did you get the ant. from BAT? How much? Are you going to just remove the old one and have a shop fill in the hole?

it was 35$ for the full kit (including instructions in every european language but english ) from BAT.

im probably going to do just that...i have a friend that rebuild's datsun 510's for racing...he said he'd help me fill and paint the hole where the other went...

i acutally thought about putting it on the back, since the old antenna's wire runs above the passenger side doors that would be even easier than on the front....but hindsight is 20/20
