it was funny to see jatos mindless groupies soak up his responses as if it were scripture. lol @ you all. he made some good points as there was some legitimacy to the threat by saddam (which was mostly tough talk and posturing), but this was definitely a show of force more than it was a genuine effort to eradicate wmds and ties to terrorism. to jatos harem: you fond ladies better hope he keeps his sanity cause if dude says the world is coming to an end and everyone should jump off a cliff to transcend to the heavens, then 70% of you will probably be in a messy pile at the bottom of some mountain. lol.

at some point in our life time there will be (more) evidence to shed light on the war in iraq for what it was. a complete sham, vendetta, and political bullying by the bush admin. all im hoping for at this point is that we dont suffer the failures of regime change in iraq down the road. i think the iraq situation can be overcome, but it is a very deep sh!thole to crawl out of.

Sorry, this isn't ClubSi where the brainless liberals fawn over this kind of pap, we think for ourselves on this forum.

Wishing it's a sham and being thankful that a sham is exposed are two different things. Your attitude here and in the past leads me to believe you're engaged in the former.

That bad news will be good news for the left, and you know it.

that bad news would be bad news for the US and you know it. i could care less who it's good for. i'm honestly very weary of the "left" side candidates for '08 at this point. i think this country really needs a moderate alternative.

Agreeing with someone means you're a sock puppet now?

all that's left to discuss here is the speculation on when the bush admin's 'deep-throat' will come forward.

i'm sure it will be much more damaging than nixon's or clinton's 'deep-throat'.

One man's docrtine is another man's toilet paper in this case. I rarely gain "enlightenment" from a the likes of people that have tunnel-vision and enjoy to blind themselves to facts and reality.

Again, it seems that some still want to pretend that the Oval Office woke up one morning, put a thumbtack on Iraq and said "Let's invade. How can we justify it?", all the while ignoring a decade of BS that was heaped up on the UN and the US by Hussein and his lackeys, and escalating efforts world-wide to gain enforcement of UN mandates.

Please quit convienently forgetting the events and circumstances of '91 forwards in Iraq in concert with the concerns that 9/11 introduced. It simply smacks of partisanship. I seriously tire of people dishonestly choosing to view the last year of an event ONLY to further a rather uninformed political agenda; an agenda that apparently is comfortable to ignore a decade of deceit, subterfuge and "hide and seek" by Iraq with an international body of weapons inspectors whose charter was continually undermined. It seems that some are entirely comfortable to "pretend" that none of this is of any concern, that the intellgence failures were politically motivated, despite the CIA having a sworn charter of political neutrality, their "eyes and ears" virtually blinded by budget cuts and the fact that other agencies world-wide had the SAME estimates on Iraq...

Finally, NONE of this changes that fact that the left-side of the House, Senate, VP Gore and President Clinton, Her Highness Hillary Clinton, Madeline Albright, Uncle Teddy Kennedy and a whole slew of other liberals were singing in 5-part harmony about the downfall of Hussein, his removal and the military enforcement of UN 1441 and a whole slew of other mandates from '98 onwards in various forums, public and private if he ultimately did not comply or live up to the spirit of the agreements.

The irony that all of this is convienently forgotten by the Left is thick as concrete, especially when a Republican administration has the "wheel" of the country.

You see, some of us aren't as forgetful or blitheringly ignorant as to sweep all of this under the rug just to coddle a partisan "puddle" to play in.

I swear, given the bile that crops up, sometimes it amazes me that some liberals haven't held "Free Sadam" fundraisers here Stateside and aren't pushing to have him re-instated as Dictator of Iraq...

that's exactly what i'm talking about. you guys want to have an excuse for all the facts and results that don't add up. blame it on intelligence failure, blame it on clinton, blame it on islam. the way i see the facts and reality is that the bush admin knew their case for war in iraq was suspect and over-stated the facts...even used laughable evidence (saddam = al qaeda? lol!)..to gain support. up to now the war has been very badly planned and managed and the stated reasons haven't panned out, yet the bush admin escapes all blame from you all. that simply astounds me! talk about being blind to facts and reality.
