I would like to know that when I here the term gutting the cat what purpose does that serve by doing this? who would you go to to do this? What I am trying to do is I have already taken out my resonator and now I am looking to do some mods to the cat and take out the muffler and run straight pipe but what i am looking for is a nice rumble to the engine tone nothing overly loud or anoying. Any suggestions on how i could do because for this particular mod I am looking for the cheapest way possible.
I am thinking this:
high performance cat-straight pipe
no cat-high performance resonator-pipe
gutted cat???
