He bought it because it was the strongest of the number of 5.0's he tested and it was by far the fastest(spanked the others).
Went to the track..it ran 14.4@97 mph...stock...he was all excited.
So he went and bought a pulley set for it, h-pipe, cai and was going to change the timing to 14 deg.
Guess what...the pulley he bought...same one on the car already...the h-pipe...already one...the cai, already one...and the timing...already set to 14 deg.
But he told a many it was stock before he knew it was modded.
Unless someone bought the 5.0 Stang new...who knows what it could have?
how could your buddy not tell he had a couple of mods on his car by just looking at it???
i mean a cai is pretty obvious,as is an hpipe, and for that matteran ud pulley isn't too hard to recognize...and btw i those are hardly mods,he might have added about 10-15hp max with those mods, probably 0 hp for the cai, which on a stang is mostly for looks..
and btw yes the speed density cars were a bit faster STOCK,but with any serious mods(heads, cam, intake)a swap to mass air is necessary or the car will run like chit..
