I remember when a good bud of mine bought a 87 5.0 5 speed LX..which was also a speed density car(which were faster than the maf guys many times).
He bought it because it was the strongest of the number of 5.0's he tested and it was by far the fastest(spanked the others).
Went to the track..it ran
14.4@97 mph...stock...he was all excited.
So he went and bought a pulley set for it, h-pipe, cai and was going to change the timing to 14 deg.
Guess what...the pulley he bought...same one on the car already...the h-pipe...already one...the cai, already one...and the timing...already set to 14 deg.
But he told a many it was stock before he knew it was modded.
Unless someone bought the 5.0 Stang new...who knows what it could have?
