Just purchased mine yesterday from eBay for about $50.00 shipped to my door. Can't wait till I,II, and III trilogy come out on DVD. Wonder how they look on HD LCD  ! 'The force WILL be strong with me'

i have the original tapes 4-5-6 and the digitaly remastered 4-5-6 and dvd of the original and re-mastered and 1 & 2...look in my entertainment center and there are like 20 star wars movies,cause the extras and clone wars (cartoon network) tons o star wars, and also remember that old movie from the 80's the ewoks or something i have that original video tape

I have the OT on DVD. I and II are on DVD already.
I can't wait til Lucas tweaks I and II to be better (sort of like he tried for the OT) for the box set. Shouldn't be too hard with all the animation.

I thought the DVD trilogy only comes in "remastered"

no you could get the originals before the re-mastered ones came out and thats what i did. i have had some of these tapes for ever, the 3 original tapes are back from when they first came out....verrrry old and protected.

So the trilogy on DVD that I purchased are remastered correct?

it will say it and you can tell if they are or not. mine are older then i got the remastered, my wife didnt understand why i have a set of each on dvd and tape,,,,

He meant on "DVD"
Only the "edited scene" versions of IV, V, & VI are available on DVD. 
I have the originals on VHS as well. They are fairing okay but it's such a limited media to begin with.
