100 kmph isn't that fast... it's about 65 mph.

Anyway, I had a similar problem, and after a while the blower motor completely died on me. If the A/C shuts off, do you still feel cool air coming from the vents? If you can, I'd imagine that something's shutting off the blower, or it might just need to be replaced. Just my two cents, anyway.

You can try to buy one of those "universal" AC refill kits (with a fill gauge, thank you ) and try to fill the system to see if you have any refrigerant in the system at all. Get one with the oil lube in it....your compressor might have seized if not taken care of...My .02.....

The A/C is controlled through the engine management computer. There may be logic in the circuitry that will not allow the A/C to engage at high engine speeds, to prevent damage to the clutch or compressor. I know once I tried to turn on my A/C at 70 mph and it wouldn't engage, but when I slowed down, it engaged and then stayed on when I accelerated to higher speeds.
