Yup guys its time again for the Angeles Crest cruise from La Canada to Wrightwood.
This year... it will be different... special... and definately more fun!
Due to the rains washing out a section of the highway, we'll proceed out to Newcomb's Ranch for lunch, and then double back a short way to Upper Big Tujunga Canyon.. then out to Angeles Forest Highway and on toward Palmdale. We'll run along the northern base of the mountains to the Big Pine Highway back into Wrightwood for the usual Ice Cream.
We'll meet behind the Sport Chalet Ski Rental Shop at 930. (NOTE! THIS IS NOT THE MAIN STORE JUST DOWN THE BLOCK!)
From there, we expect to be at Newcomb's at about 1100 for lunch. They'll be service a Buffet Style BBQ, and if I remember correctly, its about $10 each. (I totally don't remember.. maybe that included the drink and it was $8 for the buffet alone).
Bring some cash, bring some friends, and bring your camera! This event has been growing each and every year and we hope to see more new faces at this event.

***NOTE! This is a spirited but not a speedy run. These roads are very technical in nature and not to be taken lightly or without consideration. Many blind curves exist, and there can be some rockfall debris on the road at times. If you wanna go at it full out, thats fine... but please do it on your own. The CHP is enforcing in this area and we don't want to bring unnecessary attention.
