The whole point about if it were an oiling issue...would cause bearings to fail driving it home is not correct. Think about...
We aren't talking about the crank, rods, and bearings sitting in a dry position...it's an occasional loss of lubrication that causes the problem over time. Many right hand turns, draining issue on high rpms. It doesn't happen all at once. Just like a bearing will wear down and then spin. You can run your motor for a while with low oil before it will actually break.


How can someone completely discount an oiling problem? Just because it doesn't happen the second you start the car?
