FWIW the Koran is considered a bit differently to Muslims than the Bible is to Christians. Not being much of a religious scholar, I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but it has something to do with the Koran being a literal representation of God... unlike the Bible, which Christians consider to be the Word of God as recorded by mortals. So Muslims consider the desecration of a Koran to be the desecration of God. Just thought I'd throw this out there for edification.
FWIW I agree with those who say they're lucky to get the treatment they're getting. On the other hand, since the US went in under the guise of bringing peace and democracy to the ME, we do deserve to be held to a higher standard.
