Hi again guys, I had a question about dashboard kits. I'm very interested in an aluminum-look inside my svt, I saw the glue on kits from www.discountdash.com and I was very impressed! I was wondering, however, if anyone knew of any kits where you could find a kit that involves just taking out the black plastic pieces and replacing them with silver ones, or any other high quality site that sells aluminum dash kits for contours. I looked for a long time for exactly what you are talking about. Nobody makes one, trust me. Even if you had one made, it would cost a ton of money. I personally have the discountdash kit and I love it. I get a lot of complements and the price wasnt bad either. Just trying to help out.

Why don't they include the piece for the shifter? I think that is stupid! That would make the whole kit worthless! I have a ATX, and I would think they would include that also.

This site has a simulated carbon fiber dash kit for about $164! 12 pieces including shift plate and around the radio! I might have to get this one myself. For real carbon fiber, it will cost you almost double, I don't know the difference.

Sorry about these posts, I am very tired! The company I am referring to is www.flautotrim.com I couldn't view their kits for Contours, but I e-mailed them to ask for info/pricing. Though the real aluminum kit sounds promising, it's listed as a 95-99. The dash was redesigned in 98 so I would be wary of fitment problems. ------------------ Louis Wang Austin (Aug-May)/Sugar Land, TX 1998 Black E0 #3826, lightly modded

I got a simulated carbon dash kit from discount dash. They are actually very good kits. The kit does not include the shifter ring but it has a piece that goes in front of the center console that looks really good I took pics but they came out crappy there was to much light glare in them to post. If you want I can E-mail them to you.
