I was just wondering if anyone had actually done this and had any information on whether installing a new shift knob was a big deal. Is it possible to get the old knob back on if necessary? How long does it all take? Thanks a bunch guys.

it just screws off...the shift knob is seperate from the whole stick..just unscrew it like you would any bolt or nut.....
counterclockwise=loosen
clockwise=tighten

It may seem like it won't come off but give it some good arm torque and off it goes.Twist counterclock wise.

VooDoo knob is a cool knob,FYI  Also the new Cougar MTX knob is sweet! Just unscrew it counter clockwise its real easy! Roger R

I got the richbrook does any1 know if voodoo still makes a knob. There web site does not have it listed anymore.I really wanted the one with svt engraved in it.

are you guys sure that it comes off really easy i have a 1996 contour and it feels like the knob is stamped right on. ive tried to turn the damn knob but it doesn't move at all do you think you guys could help me thx.
