Whats up guys...sorry if this is a wasted post, but yesterday i noticed that i had snapped my drivers side front spring...its the very bottom coil but i still need replacements ASAP....ive done A LOT of searching to see what springs i should go with, but cant find an exact answer...My question is what spring should i choose? I was considering goin stock since i work at a dealership and can get them a little cheaper but if i get lowering springs i dont want a crappy, stiff, bouncy ride, so what springs should i get? im leaning more toward H&R, but any help is much appreciated!

I voted "stock" because nowhere do you indicate that you are upgrading your struts. Also, if you don't want a crappy ride, but are keeping your stock struts, then you pretty much need to stick with stock springs.

yeah, the reason im keeping stock struts is cause i dont have money to upgrade everything else (girlfriend )....if i go with the stock springs, do you think the car is gonna be too high since the springs are gonna be new? would there be too many negatives with keeping stock struts with different springs? thanks guys

I rode on intrax with stock struts for 33k miles before the rears blew. The only issue your gonna have with stock struts and aftermarket springs is durability. Since durability is a big issue for you its probably a good idea just to get some replacement stock springs. If you do go with lowering springs be ready to shell out 600+ for struts and install when you blow out those stockers.

New, poly swaybar bushings are cheap, and you might be surprised at the difference they'll make, especially compared to old, tired OEM rubber bushings.

Besides that, I think the stock suspension is very good when it's not worn out. Your car might sit a bit higher when you first replace your springs, but I doubt it would be much or for very long.

The major things I wanted to "fix" when I replaced my suspension was the squat and dive. The SVT is a bit worse on dive than the early SE, with the softer front springs, but it's a better balanced package for handling and probably even ride quality. And new SVT struts are cheap, relative to any fancy aftermarket setup. Besides, I didn't have a "problem" with squat until I started autocrossing.
