well, the riders that I talked to said the smaller bike is a good idea. But then within a few weeks you'll want a bigger one. So, just start on something a bit bigger, the 1000cc are no way for starters. 600cc's are ok, if you respect what it can do. Going from 600cc to 1000cc is a big change that will take a few years to make.
