35.9mpg is achievable. I average 34.1 in my SVT on the way down to SZ with the crusie set at 75mph. This was immediatly after a UIM/LIM clenaing, new plugs and wires, cleaned intake, new fuel filter, bottle of Valvoline syntech fuel cleaner, fully waxed car, sythetic oil change, and full tank of mobile 1 93 octane. On the way back from SZ... about 28-29mpg's average. SO that was short lived.

I was getting 25 mpg with bad leaking injectors, old fuel filter, old air filter, in -30 degree weather on straight hwy driving at 75 mph. Warm weather does wonderful things for gas milage. My brothers 97 SC1 jumped from around 28 or so all the way up to 40 because of the weather.

345 miles / 9.6 gallons = 35.9375 miles per gallon.
The fuel gauge was just showing under 1/2 a tank when I filled up (87 oct).
Prior to the trip, I installed Bosch Platinum plugs, Autolite Professional Plug wires and ran two bottles of Valvoline Synthetic Fuel Injection Cleaner through the gas tank. Tires - Goodyear Eagle LS 205/60-15, 31 psi front, 34 psi rear (as per the sticker on the driver's door).
The car (1995 Contour SE) has 97,000 miles on it.
I was not using the Air Conditioner during the entire trip.

I wish I could get that kind of milage, I can't keep my foot out of it thou (proven by my recent court summons) I might hit 180mi on a full tank at best in the city.

Huh? Where would it say that? Mine says 34 all the way around.

The tire pressure settings are on a factory sticker on the inside jam of the driver's door.
