I have 18s on my car with a 3 inch GC drop and rub like a mo fo in the rear. Do you have it dropped all the way down?

first Contour I've seen with 20's

agreed on needed the big brake kit

but spill the beans now...how much modding did it take to get rid of any rubbing?

Bull$hyt aside, I slapped the rims on, and drove around the block once for a test run...no rubbing. Took it for a a second drive after and took some hard U-Turns...no rubbing. Dove into corners a high speed, no rubbing. The rims literally fit the car like a glove. I am still surprised till today.

Everyone says they look as if they are made for the car...

Just felt like adding a positive update. Despite all the contruction and crappy roads that Miami can have at times, my babies are holding up exceptionally well, that and the fact that the alignment is unbelievably consistent after close to 1,100 miles with the new shoes. Is this a very exceptional case for the tire/wheel combo that I am using? Are my wheels exeptionally strong? Am I just lucky?

Well, your wheels and tires don't work on Miles Per Hour... they work on Whores Per Mile. If you keep whoring at a consistant rate.. it will get even wear.

Okay, for a real answer. Your alignment shouldn't be knocked out of wack at any time (if the mechanic knows what he was doing), especiallt for only a 1000 miles. GIve it another 4,000 miles, then come see us. . Also, you won't notice any wear on the tires for only a thousand miles, they are still rollin' on the new tire finish, lol. As long as the car tracks straight, doesn't "trail off", or seem "wabbly", you should be getting even wear. How's your air pressure in the tires?? Check them OFTEN. That is the one thing that will kill a larger diameter tire, wrong or uneven air pressures. Check every couple days to be safe. Also, fluctuations in temp will have a bigger factor in your tires than the 19's, 18's, and the other entire warehouse of tire combos you have.
