I just purchased a 95 Contour SE a few weeks ago with the Duratec V6 / 5 Speed (95,000 miles) and asked a friend who works in an engine rebuild shop about the Duratec. They never come through his shop with head problems or rebuilds, so no news must be good news!
I hope mine lasts as loooonnnnggggg as yours!

130K miles, runs better then when i got it, the secret to keeping these engines working good and strong is to "give them hell at least couple times a week" thats what my machanic says it seems to work good for me tho runs very good!

Then mine should last a while lol I drive it like I'm racing up the street about once a week. BTW, I heard about a guy who got 249k off his Contour before it crapped out.
