Yes. And a mustang pump will work, but you'll need to tweak things a bit. You'll see when / if you ever do it. Originally posted by cavrs: thanks warmonger! i love the info! so a stock pump flows enough for a dry kit?

how can you tell if you have a returnless style or not. mine is a 99. does it matter which you have if you want to use the svt focus fuel pump

Why? Is your pump bad?

If you have only 1 line going to your fuel rail, then you have returnless system. If you have two, then you have a return.

Does it sputter at mid & high rpm at WOT?
Of not it's more likely bad plugs and/or wires.
What plugs & wires are you running?

Sputter? Mine feels like i'm randomly hitting the rev limiter... but between 4-6000 This will be remedied tuesday. At one time i also was sputtering/missing below 4,000 when I'd give it more than 1/2 throttle. New plugs/wires fixed that... the guy before me must have been crazy when gapping the plugs because they were all over the place.

Intermittent high rpm flutter is normally a bad IMRC or bad fuel pump.
It would point more towards the IMRC if it were heat related.
It would point more towards the fuel pump if it were fuel level related.

i am running platinum i believe autolite (always had good luck with them) and stock wires. yes it just sputters below 4000rpm at full throttle. up high, it runs like a champ! what should i do to remedy this? is it a spark problem, or a fuel problem? after the secondaries open up it runs like normal.
