As usual, I am held up on parts, but I think I'll be able to start the car this coming week. I would say I'd have it started today or tomorrow, but I am leaving in a couple hours to the Indy 500 qualifying runs!

How do you like?

The rear brakes are still tiny, but I have the parts to upgrade them to an 11.6" rotor

The piping will be color-matched once I am certain I've got everything running right.

Looks great, Jason.
Are those 17" wheels? They look sharp on your car.
I really like the color scheme in the engine bay. I'm not normally a fan of spiffed up engine bays, but yours is soo nice looking.

Yeah, those are 17" wheels (Kazera KZ-U). I had to get them because my old wheels would not fit over my Cobra 13x1.1" brakes. The calipers even have 'SHO' machined into them.

I have not added up the cost of the blower set up. I pieced everything together myself. The Vortech head unit alone was $1,940 (list for $2,600+). I would venture to guess $3,500 - $4,500, but that is just a guess. It can be done cheaper, but I went all out and bought good parts and a T-trim blower vs and S-trim.

I can't wait to start it up, it should be fun!

Thanks for looking.

Yes, the Cobra brake kit is a direct bolt-on to a Taurus with '94 - '99 knuckles. The rotors have to be redrilled for the Taurus bolt pattern though. You can get kits at www.discbrakesrus. I bought my kit from SHO Parts NW. I am using Hawk HP-Plus pads as well.

Randy, I am looking forward to the canyon run too! Chris and I had our own last week. I got the brakes so hot the powder coat on the wheels cracked
