I noticed the same thing. There are no plug wires or coil. I bet it's not finished yet.

That battery looks very strange, too.

Chris? I'm not sure what you see there, can you explain? The battery looks ok to me, but I do see (What I believe to be) plug wires, and the coil on the passenger side near the headlamp assembly. Why doesn't this picture look right? confused

cool

I think he is talking about the first link, that Focus has no identifiable spark plug wires.

I know the red SVT built ones runs. I know firsthand smile

However, the link to the yellow one shows the engine bay in detail and there are no plug wires, and no coil pack.

In the concept section of www.svt.ford.com they have a focus with a SVT V6 in it. Also I was wondering... since the new SVT Focuses have a 6-speed would it fit in a contour?

I'm wondering if the 2005 next generation Focus will have a v6, since Jettas have them?

Also, the 05 is said to look different.

there's a guy in CT working on an SVT V6 conversion for a Focus sedan he purchased from an auction. it definitely can be done without much modification.

I think Ford has dropped the ball on the Focus. i have one for a rental and that thing:

- Stands way too high, almost van like; It makes the Mustang seem low!
- The seats are very uncomfortable.
- Power if the standard SOHC version could be better. They should drop this one and only put in the Zetec.
- Styling is too pudgy looking.

I agree on most points, but with trucks SUV's all over, tall sedans are the "thing" now. It is easier to enter/exit a Focus than a Contour. But, the ride is tippy like a truck/van. And Mustangs are a completely different class of car.

Yes, the seats in Foci are awful!

The SOHC engine is a high mileage workhorse. Not everyone wants a four cylinder that can't get more then 30 mpg. My brother and sister have Escorts with these engines and they like the high mileage.

Styling is subjective. If it were more average looking like Escorts, they would be panned for being "boring".
