Davo, are you sure you want to defend DeLay, or even show any support for him at all? Look at the slimy stuff he is involved in:

He is widely known for ignoring campaign finance rules and improperly taking money for trips, etc. He is now a poster boy for the sleazy strong-arm politics that the Republicans are becoming reviled for. (Which may be setting up a backlash in the next election, dunno). Anyway, the guy is a real liability for your party, so why not toss a bone to the ragged masses of pissed off Democrats?
